Roxana Santos de Hayden is a self-taught acrylic & oil painter known for her architectural mural, trompe l’oeil, and landscape paintings. She was born in El Salvador and attended college at London’s South Bank University. While in London she earned the distinguished “Painter-Stainers Award” for her skill in color from the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers, an organization which traces its roots to 1283. Recently she received an award from the Salvadorian government for her success in plastic arts (2015).
After London, Roxana lived in Italy where she worked as an Interior Designer, drafting architectural plans, until she fell in love with Italian Art and decided to pursue painting full time. She started painting murals at the Blackhawk Museum in 2014 for The Spirit of the Old West gallery, which opened in 2015, and has continued her work in the upcoming Into China and Natural History galleries.
Roxana will showcase her craft in different mediums and discuss her technique; the concept, design and execution of myriad projects.
