Accessibility
Blackhawk Museum is an ADA compliant facility -- with two elevators granting visitors access to all galleries and wide pathways for ease of access. We are not yet able to accommodate those who rely on braille.
Wheelchair Access
Wheelchairs may enter the museum via the ramps to the left of the stairs at the Main Entrance. All galleries are accessible for wheelchairs. Additionally, our staff is available to assist with any special needs or accommodations to ensure a pleasant visit for everyone.
Accessible Parking
For the convenience of our visitors with disabilities, handicap parking is located in the closest parking lot to the museum. In the event that the handicap parking is fully occupied, we kindly request that you utilize the drop-off area in the nearest parking lot to the museum entrance.
Accessible Restrooms
Wheelchair accessible restrooms are available in the museum for the convenience of all visitors. These restrooms are equipped with features designed to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges, ensuring a comfortable and accessible experience for everyone.
Service Animals
In order to provide a secure and healthy environment for our guests, as well as to protect our collections, we can only allow service animals in our museum. Please leave any other four-legged friends at home.
